To refine my skills in photography and travel at the same time, I started to search for photography workshops. I traveled with a few of them but decided that I liked travelling with
Photo Quest Adventures. Since they cater to smaller groups, it allows me more opportunity to learn from the Professional Photographer(s) as well as easily learn and get better acquainted with other photographers on the trip. Even if you're not a photographer and like travelling with small groups, there are advantages of travelling on a photography workshop (of course, these are all subjective):
- having access to places that are off limits,
- being at a museum before it opens,
- being up early to catch the sunrise,
- staying out to watch the sunset,
- light painting until its dark outside,
- having someone take care of all the details for you
